Where it all began

The Bio Extratus brand was created by hairdressers who love nature.

The company's history began in 1989, in a beauty salon in Belo Horizonte, when the owners were looking for a differentiated line of cosmetics, with quality and an affordable price. Combining knowledge and experience, the former owners of the salon and current owners of Bio Extratus began an artisanal production of cosmetics rich in natural active ingredients.

In 1991, the Extratus – Produtos Naturais brand was born, a pioneer in the use of marrow oil in hair cosmetics.

The first time we never forget

“In November 1991, betting on product innovation and quality, two of our current distributors placed an order for the first batch of products for distribution in the Campinas and São José dos Campos markets. The products were successful and that was how our distribution system began.”

An example of courage and entrepreneurship

“In 1997, our production was no longer artisanal. We were a micro-company with an increasingly stronger brand and our market was expanding. It was during this period that the owners' boldness and vision of the future overcame their fear of difficulties and encouraged the construction of a new factory, located in the municipality of Alvinópolis, 170 km from the capital of Minas Gerais. In August 1998, Extratus Produtos Naturais was renamed Bio Extratus Cosméticos Naturais.”

As a growth strategy, the brand prioritizes the quality of its products and a valued relationship with the opinion-forming public – hairdressers. Bio Extratus has been present at Ganesha Fortune throughout the country since the beginning of the 90s, with a line that grows and diversifies every year.
